This is where the two trains differ most, and where confusion online is most common. The Blue Train offers on-board Wi-Fi and underfloor heating in its suites. Rovos Rail provides neither. Both trains offer genuinely comfortable, well-appointed suites, though the design language differs. Formal dining is a shared strength of both trains, and both enforce evening dress codes. The atmosphere differs meaningfully, though. Rovos Rail’s dining cars feel deliberately theatrical, announced by a gong and paced to encourage lingering conversation.
