By making a booking with us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Booking Conditions. “You” and “Your” means all persons named in a booking. “We”, “us”, “our” and “African Signature Journeys” means Journeys Worldwide Pty Ltd.

2. BOOKINGS

A booking request is accepted when we issue a written booking confirmation (delivered via our staff or the GlobalThinkingApp) and you have paid your deposit. No employee other than a director has the authority to vary these conditions.

3. SERVICES

We commence providing services as soon as we accept your booking. The services provided are limited to (a) the arrangement and coordination of your travel arrangements; and (b) the delivery of travel arrangements which we directly control.

4. TECHNOLOGY AND AI CONCIERGE

To enhance our coordination services, African Signature utilises the GlobalThinkingApp AI Concierge.

  • Guidance Only: Any information provided by the AI Concierge regarding itineraries, local conditions, or availability is for guidance only and is subject to human verification and confirmation.
  • Operational Use: We use the GlobalThinkingApp to manage your itinerary and communication; your use of this technology is subject to our Privacy Policy.

5. PRICES & EXCLUSIONS

Prices are stated in Australian Dollars ($AUD). International and domestic airfares, airport transfers, passports, visas, vaccinations, and insurance are not included unless specifically stated. We reserve the right to vary costs due to fuel surcharges, government charges, or currency fluctuations (we will absorb the first 2% of negative fluctuations).

6. DEPOSITS & FINAL PAYMENT

  • Deposit: A 30% deposit per person or $500 (whichever is greater) is required within 7 days.
  • Final Payment: Due as per your invoice or no less than 60 days before commencement.
  • Late Payment: Failure to pay within 7 days of a reminder will result in a deemed cancellation.

7. CANCELLATIONS BY YOU

You may cancel by giving written notice. Refunds are calculated based on timeframes:

  • Over 90 days: Deposit and instalments only.
  • 90 to 60 days: 50% of booking value.

8. SPECIALIST AFRICAN REQUIREMENTS: HEALTH & FITNESS

It is your responsibility to ensure you have a suitable level of health and fitness for your chosen itinerary.

  • Permit Awareness: Many African travel permits (e.g. Gorilla trekking) are non-refundable and will be treated as “unrecoverable third-party costs” in the event of cancellation.
  • Medical Conditions: You must advise us of any medical conditions at the time of booking. Failure to provide a requested medical assessment will be treated as a cancellation by you.

9. FORCE MAJEURE & OTHER CANCELLATIONS

Force Majeure includes natural disasters, war, pandemics, or Government Restrictions.

  • Prior to Travel: We may reschedule or cancel. If cancelled, we will provide a credit (valid for 24 months) or a refund less unrecoverable costs and fair compensation for work undertaken.
  • During Travel: We will refund recovered third-party costs only.

10. AMENDMENTS

  • By You: We will endeavour to accommodate changes. An amendment fee of $250 applies per change plus supplier costs.
  • By Us: We reserve the right to make minor modifications to itineraries. Significant changes will result in a notification and a proportional refund for the reduction in value.

11. ACCEPTANCE OF RISK & RESPONSIBILITY
